The desire of the Government of Sierra Leone to move fast with socio-economic development in the post Ebola era formed the crux of the first quarterly meeting of the Development Partnership Committee (DEPAC) facilitated by the Donor Aid Coordinating Unit(DACO) held on Monday, 23rd February 2015 in the conference hall of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development (MoFED).The lowering in the figure of new infection Ebola cases across the country in the view of government requires early preparation to mitigate the gaps caused by the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) outbreak in the social and economic development agenda of the country, the Agenda for Prosperity (A4P).

The role of civil society takes center stage in public transparency; nowhere is the call for supply side accountability more prominent than in fragile states.It is in agreement with this principle, that the Chair of the g7+ and Sierra Leone’s Minister of Finance and Economic Development, Dr. Kaifala Marah has taken the initiative to engage civil society groups in Sierra Leone that have interest in budget issues.
