A team of senior officials of the Ministry of Finance led by the Acting Minister of Finance, Dr. Patricia Nyanga Laverley met with visiting World Bank Executive Director for Sierra Leone, Andrew Ndaamunhu Bvumbe in the office of the Minister in Freetown.

The Public Financial Management Improvement and Consolidation Project ( PFMICP) in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development (MoFED) in collaboration with the National Public Procurement Authority(NPPA) has ended a one day stakeholder workshop on the status of the E -Government procurement Project held on Friday 11th May 2018, at the Bank of Sierra Leone ( BSL).

Minister of Finance Jacob Jusu Saffa in collaboration with the Bank of Sierra Leone has in what is been widely referred to across the business sector as “first of its kind” met with a broad spectrum of members of the business community including Commercial Bank Executives, the Foreign Exchange Association representatives and the Director-General designate of the National Social Security Insurance Trust (NASSIT) to frankly discuss Government’s New Direction Policy Agenda.

Newly appointed Minister of the reestablished Ministry of Planning and Economic Development (MoPED) has held her maiden meeting with senior officials of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to explain how she intends to robustly implement the mandate of the Ministry through collaboration in order to achieve its objectives.

Sierra Leone’s Minister of Finance, Jacob Jusu Saffa will lead a-five man delegation to this year’s Annual Meetings of the African Development Bank (ADB) that will take place in Busan, Republic of Korea from 21-25 May 2018 on the theme, “Accelerating Africa’s Industrialization”.

The Public Financial Management Improvement and Consolidation Project (PFMICP) in collaboration with Budget Bureau in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development (MoFED), have ended two days Reconfiguration training of Budget Bureau staff on the planning and execution modules of the IFMIS PB software including migration of data into the FA module and use of Budget Book Builder. The training started on Saturday 17th February and ended on Sunday 18th February 2018 at the Family Kingdom Resort Aberdeen.

The Public Financial Management Improvement and Consolidation Project in collaboration with the Right to Access Information Commission( RAIC), have ended a three days stakeholder consultation on the Right to Access Information Act, 2013. The program  which started on the 7th February and ended on Friday 9th February 2013, at Santanno House in Freetown, targeted Non- Governmental organizations, Civil Society Organizations, Ministries, Departments and Agencies and media Institutions.
